washcaps tells us more.
Hey everyone, OP here. (: First off, I would like to thank you guys for your nice comments, they made things better! And since I didn't have much room to explain, the group chat was consisted of the girls in the coed league we all played together in the winter, thus creating the chat. We all attend the same school and are all upcoming sophomores that tried out for JV. The competition was very hard. In the end the coach toke 6 sophomores, (all that played in same coed team) and 8 juniors. There were 9 of us in that didn't make it, also all 9 were in the chat. After I realized I was removed I was a little saddened and didn't quite understand why because it wasn't anything too much. A friend of mine that also didn't make it informed me that after I had been removed, she congratulated them too, and she had also been removed. So basically it's came into realization they aren't worth it and I'm more likely to try another sport but if I can't decide on one I might just practice more. Sorry it's long, and thank you if you read!

Keep being a good sport. They'll realize their bitchiness and apologize if they ever grow up.
They probably continued the group chat to discuss team information and felt it would he hurtful to keep her in it, I think you're taking offence where there is none/ salty about not making the team. Its kind of desperate to message everyone in the first place.
Well they could have mentioned it and said thanks before. Just removing her is just rude.
Uhhh well the group chat is specifically for people who made the team...how can you be mad for being removed from a group chat for a team that you haven't even made? Your FML and all the people saying it sucks is kinda ridiculous what did you expect it's like that everywhere
OP saying good job to everyone who made it is good sportsmanship. The people who made it could have at least said thank you. And you never know, OP might find a way to still be active, like being student manager for the team, or a fill in/secondary for if someone gets hurt. Just removing them from the conversation was rude, especially if it was just after tryouts. Too many things happen in the first week or so of high school sports.
well you didnt make the team... sooo
Made it to the team or not, OP congratulated them and they removed them out just after, not even thanking OP. Which is something a douchebag would do.
I'm sorry OP. Something similar happened to me. I was the only one cut from the team (not because I was bad, but because the coach was friends with a girl who didn't like me) and they even moved up freshman to play because they didn't have enough people. Total BS but you can always join a club team or try a new sport, you'll never know what you might end up loving!
Before I went into my second year of college, I decided to switch from one Science degree to another for personal reasons and I told my so called "friend" from the previous Science class (the only person I told, by the way) that I would remove myself from the class' secret Facebook group page (which he is the only admin to), and he sweetly replied "Don't be silly, you'll always be considered a member of our group. If you remove yourself, I'll add you in straight back!" I was quite touched by that comment and felt rather loved...Until about 2 weeks later when I went to write a post wishing everyone luck going back to college and I couldn't find the page; prick deleted me off it. So screw those guys OP! You did nothing wrong!
Has anyone considered that maybe the chat was just for people that play volleyball there and had nothing to do with the actual team? And it's not like would be discussing anything that other people couldn't know. Just kicking someone off because they didn't make a team is ridiculous, especially since it just happened. Something could happen causing them to need a replacement and if they're burning all their bridges like that nobody is going to want to help.
Middle/high school girls can be real bitches. Keep your head up OP, and take comfort in the fact that you are clearly a better person than they can ever hope to be.
Maybe you seemed passive-aggressive?
that is so rude! you knew you didnt make it but wanted to congratulate everyone anyway, being a good sport. some people, i swear.

That is so horrible. Cliques and exclusivity are such a bitch. Forget them, you can join a different volleyball team like a club team!
Bitches.
