Today, I sent my girlfriend a long-overdue message telling her I feel like she doesn't really care about me any more, that it seems like she only ever calls me when she needs money, and that I'm even starting to suspect she may be cheating on me. 14 hours later, she replied: "TL;DR". FML

There could be many reasons for a talk like this over text, one being that he never sees her unless she wants something which would make it extremely challenging to talk in person. Another possible reason being that she could be every emotionally responsive making op feel unsafe having such a talk in person.. and many other reasons.

speaking from experience, those sorts of conversations are best spoken in person. Face to face. If she's the type to turn things around and make you out to be 'in the wrong' for voicing concern or having concern (some people play wicked mind games), then that's also a toxic relationship. Communication is so so so incredibly important. And if you're in a healthy relationship, communication shouldn't be problematic. Not to say there won't be awkward convos from time to time. But if you can't have a face to face convo with your partner over something serious, there's a problem.
