owned...when its ur birthday and he gives you a b-day card use it as a coffee coaster haha...
I hate when my gifts are under-appreciated. I recently made a card and some other memorable items for my friend's graduation party. I put it on ivory parchment and folded it like one of those money cards and put a song quote on it in really nice calligraphy and put his name in the song. It took me hours to make everything. I always want people to like what I make, but I realized recently that just because I make something, that doesn't mean they're going to like it. Just buying a cheap card and signing my name would have been just as good. Don't always expect everyone to be just like you. And I think using it as a coaster is not something good. Yeah, he can see it every time he drinks something, but what if it gets ruined (which it likely will)?
guys don't care about cards shit what did you want him to day frame it
you take it so seriously...
You spend your precious time doing stuff for guys? Retard moment much? YDI.
whatd you expect him to do with it? really..?? at least he kept it
I've sent my boyfriend random cards in the mail ever since we started dating 18 months ago thinking that no one ever gets anything but bills & junk mail these days, so it would be sweet & thoughtful. The most heartfelt ones seem to always end up on the floor in the back of his truck, covered in mud, sand, & oil. So much for being thoughtful.

When someone does that kind of shit with stuff I make, I stop caring about getting them anything special. Next time just grab a card and sign it, since he doesn't seem to care. By the way, don't print out colored paper just to cut out. Go out and buy construction paper, it's cheaper.
What a jerk. Even if he's not into the sentimentality of cards or whatever, he should at least show some appreciation for you and your effort.
