Today, I spent a solid four hours and over one hundred dollars preparing a nice fancy meal for my new girlfriend. A delicious three pound rack of ribs with a sweet and sour marinade. Steam broccoli with melted cheese. Home made buttermilk biscuits. I serve the meal. She doesn't eat beef. FML

That sucks, but before you go all-out on a meal like that you should at least know what she likes and doesn't like.

find a new firlfriend that isnt a hippy vegetarian...

You deserve it because you don't know how to spell marinade.

I am amazed at the stupidity of the comments. Ribs can be made from beef too, you know.

Ribs can be pork or beef you just need to know your stuff

I wish my husband would cook like this for me :( Oh well. If I was that chick though, I might have made an effort to take a bite of it just because he went to all the trouble of being romantic and cooking for her. Although OP should have found out what she eats first...so opinions can really go either way on this one.

If she doesn't eat beef for religious reasons, I completely not understand her eating any but otherwise she's just kind of a bitch for not even trying it. Im allergic to mollusk (clams, muscles, oysters etc) and if anyone ever offers to cook for me its the first thing i mention before I even accept the offer (mostly because I don't want to die of anaphylaxis but also because its rude to have someone inconvenience themselves to feed you and not eat any). I find people who are picky about their food annoying as hell anyways so I'd just take her out from then on, but if you want to cook for her make sure you get a complete list of what she doesnt or wont eat before you try again.

should of checked with her parents first
