Today, I spilled my heart out to a guy by showing him one of my poetry journals. He read through it and said, "Wow, I feel sorry for the guy you wrote about." The poems were all about how I loved him. FML

I've never met a man that either a: liked sappy poetry or was b: able to read hidden meanings. Here's a hint........ just tell him outright! .... men, they may be pirates but they're crap at reading clues.

thats his loss. i really like girls with an artistic side to them. fyl

Kaylick's right. it's his loss. You deserve someone so much better than him! and at least you had the confidence to show them to him which lots of people wouldn't!

this may be naive, but is it possible he was saying he's sorry for the guy because you felt this way about him (the guy) and he's missing out?

Well he is kind of right. If you like someone you should just tell them, or atleast advance them in some way as soon as you realize you like them. If you do something like this there are a couple of things that can happen. They laugh. They just simply dont like you. They do like you but this scares them off. And even when it does end up in a relationship, most likely wont be equal to eachother.

to everyone calling the OP emo: chill out! its how she expresses herself. OP: fyl, I'm sorry it didn't work out. maybe next time try a different approach, especially if you don't know the guy very well.
