Is it just me or is anyone trying to figure out how tall these slippers have to be for the mouse trap to actually swing closed.

#62. Exactly what I was thinking or how small was that trap. To get the trap far enough into the slipper to not be seen there wouldn't be enough room for the bar to swing closed. At least not in any slippers I've seen. Unless OP was stealing those animal themed slippers for kids or giant boot like slippers I doubt this story is real. One of those you wish you could do but won't work situations. I believe OP made this up for attention or a badge.

Mouse trap is usually about 4 inches long, the bar is a little less than half of that, and the base board is about 1/4 inch think. So they can function in a space about 2 inches high.

Op, I can understand the slippers are awesome and you like to borrow them. But you should get your own. A) so you don't find yourself injured by your brother, b) because it can get really annoying. I like to have my things where I left them. I have a standard I treat my belongings with. My sister did not. She would borrow my clothes (see: steal them) and they would come back smelling like BO and ripped. Stop taking your brother's things and learn respect.
