Does no one even consider the possibility that it might have been OP's fault instead? The relationship between the two sentences isn't clear. If OP's girlfriend left for her ex DESPITE the roses OP showered on her, she's a bitch; but if the two events happened simultaneously, or the second event before the first, it's not necessarily her fault is it? The blame might lie with OP for being a poor boyfriend instead. Quit the hatin', people.
