That terrible of you to punish her for bad grades. Most kids that have bad grades beed help, not to b ridiculed, it parents like this that r out of there mind ur not gonna make ur child any smarter by making her miss out on some of the best nights of her teenage life.
Op here, She's smart, but she just won't go to her classes. I've warned her many times. Her grades are her fault.

Homecoming isn't important at all. It's a stupid dance that happens every damn year. I say keep up with the punishment and let her know that as long as her grades are acceptable to your standards then stuff like this won't happen. I mean come on people, school dances and graduation (since some people brought that up) are a privilege not a right. I say every student should take advantage of the oppurtunity that's given to them and not be little brats that cry about stupid stuff like this.
