Today, I tried fixing my dad's lawnmower after he said, "Girls can't change a lightbulb right, let alone fix a machine." An hour later, when I had the lawnmower running again, he bitched me out for trying to make him "look stupid." He's been sulking and acting pissy ever since. FML

Dad, you can't handle the truth, because the truth is, deep down inside of you in places that you don't talk about at parties, you want me to fix the lawnmower, you need me to fix the lawnmower. I use words like carburetor and spark plug. I use them as a way of repairing machines, you use them as the punch line to a joke. I have neither the time nor inclination to explain myself to someone who uses the lawnmower I fixed, then questions the way I fixed it. I just as soon you said thank you and mowed the lawn. Either way I don’t give a damn about your misogynist opinions.
