Good to know I'm not the only one the system bends over and goes to town on. But as far as driving out there to speak to them in person goes, it's about a 9 hour drive assuming there isn't too much traffic, which there usually is, so that's not a particularly viable option

How terrible; the college you pay a lot of money to go to won't even discuss money with you.
I hope that doesn't happen to me when I go to college.
same thing happened to me. and because they wouldn't communicate and I couldn't get correct information from anyone I talked to (even in person) I ended up with no aid and I was in debt by $2,500 before classes even got started.
Alot of them do it constantly, so it's not your fault, OP.
Who the hell stays on hold for over an hour.
