drayloon tells us more.
Good to know I'm not the only one the system bends over and goes to town on. But as far as driving out there to speak to them in person goes, it's about a 9 hour drive assuming there isn't too much traffic, which there usually is, so that's not a particularly viable option

Nothing frustrates me more than being on hold.
I actually had to leave a school because this kept happening to me. For MONTHS I tried and I'd be hung up on, leave a message & get no response, or just have the system tell me they couldn't be reached. Ended up taking a year off & going to a much better school.
Ahah, Don't Sweat It OP; We've All Been There ☺
that clearly paint a picture their financial status...
Time to transfer
I'm going through the same thing -.- $5,065 in debt because they haven't processed things i turned in 4 months ago...messing with my ability to buy books cuz they can't get their stuff together :/
I have that same problem with my college. Then no one knows anything, if you have a question you have to go through several people to find the answer.
Well, they are probably busy helping the students who are actually there in person, and lets face it, if you were to drive all the way there and wait for your turn to see a financial aid person, you would feel like you deserved priority over someone who just made a phone call...
Not to mention many students could be out of state during break...
I worked in a call centre that's called fat fingering... I've done it accidentally a few.

Maybe you should rethink your FIRST choice of college >:)
You would think for the tens of thousands you pay in tuition, they would hire more people to answer phones!
