I am also a vet and feel ur pain I have to bring mine in to the clinic and have our technicians do it for me. As soon as my dog sees the trimmers she freaks she needs to be ace'd every time

my mom a vet to and she is a horsebreader. one day earlier this year me and my older brother were changing tiers on our horse trailers she was actualy neutering a horse 10 meters away from us. when she was done she lifted the newly cut of nuts and showed them to us later to throw them in the nearby river.

Your dog oviously doens't trust you if he's acting that way. My dogs HATE when they get their nails cut. They jerk their paw away, try and nudge the cippers away at times, and usually end up with their tails between their legs. But they ALWAYS let me do it. I'm just patient and wait til I get a split second of no moving to do a quick clip. It always works. But my dogs have complete trust in me and know I'm not going to hurt them.
