Wow, you already know what nobody else knows.. Yeah it implies it is her husbands.. But it can be a cultural thing, where in african cultures boys of same age get called brothers.. It can be a lying bitch thing cause she needs a man for her child and tries to get OPs .. It can be a lying bitch cause she hates you .. It can be that he slept with her, then dont kick hom out, but move out yourself cause he will just move next door... Or the option he donated sperm for neighbours cause the husband is infertile and it was supposed to be kept a secret. Which is bad cause while it can be kept a secret to the neighbourhood he should have consulted his wife, but that would be a bad misjudgement worthy of some time in the doghouse but not worth leaving a marriage for when what he did was grant thte neighbours the same joy he is experiencing.
Tell your husband what happened and ask him to explain it to you. If he denies it, talk to both of them at the same time. He might break down and confess or she might just turn out to be delusional and crazy.
Spin it around: "Did [Neighbours husband] finally got you pregnant? How great that [Your son] finally will have a half brother.. If she is just using the wrong words than no harm is done, if she tried to imply its your husband you just implied yours is from her husband.. Offcourse question your hubby about it by simply saying what she said. If he is trying to hard then you know the truth.
Good luck with that ... some people are so spiteful sometimes, especially where we live (I also live in Île-de-France. I hope she wasn't serious ... if she was then I'm really sorry about your marriage, I hope you'll manage to get back on your feet ! xxx

I wish that this wasn't in the World section so we knew what happened!! Was OP's husband really the father???
Possibility A: your husband is a cheater. Or she is trying to tell she believes her husband is the father of your child. Possibility B: She is desperate to get child support money just anywhere. Possibility C: She meant something else. I would explore the C as she really might have the naive idea that good friends are half brothers = not real brothers but close, or in her native language there might be some kind of set expression, etc.

Looks you need to have a chat with someone. That being said there is no certainty the kids share a father. Maybe a paternity test is in order if to confirm she is delusional or some one has been jumping the fence. Either way, good luck OP.
Maybe she fancies your husband and is just trying to split you two up? Some people can be that psycho. Don't believe anything or assume until you have cold hard proof that the baby is your husband's and if it is then you have perfect grounds and proof for divorce if you wanted to go down that road. Either way this must be so hard on you and I'm sorry for the situation you are in. Best of luck for you and your child and hope everything turns out okay.
