Hey, sobriety is worth a lot more than shitty friends. Congrats!
Congrats! Stick it out, some things are already improving, the others will, too :)
Congratulations on being sober.
Congrats. Now you can focus on finding some real friends
I'm sorry OP, I was in the exact same position when I went sober at around 16. I've had trouble making friends since then, to this day I only have my partner as a friend, whom I met on craigslist. You can try going to X Anonymous meetings. I assume you mean alcohol, so there are many AA's around each state, and often, more than one per county. If you're not god-fearing, like myself, I suggest going on forums and making online friends to hold over loneliness until fate takes its course. I have many supportive online friends who are willing to help me when I'm in danger of relapse, and they're far more healthy friends that those I had in real life! Good luck OP! Keep strong.
OP is from Brazil. The AA system isn't that common outside of the US. There might be self-help groups but not as interconnected.
having a non existent social life isn't the end of the world, it doesn't have to be. if I were you, I would get out there and perhaps find another lonely soul that would enjoy your company, either that or make friends you would enjoy spending time with who aren't all about the drinking. Best of luck OP!
I feel something similar to this happens to me, I am more often than not designated driver or driving home at the end of the party, but I'm shy to the point of borderline anti-social when sober/watching how much I am drinking and so I don't socialise but hide in a corner, something that doesn't happen when I drink like a Russian

Just goes to show that those people weren't really your friends. There are so many other things in life to occupy your time..... You don't need a type of drug to have a good time.
Congrats on one year of being sober:)
