Congrats! Are you in AA? If you aren't I suggest you check it out, if you are, ask for people's numbers, go for coffee, get a sponsor and ask them to introduce you to people, do service work. All those are a great way to make connections, everyone in AA wants to help you, it's an amazing supportive community! Good luck and I wish you another 24!
Social life is NOT about drinking, OP. It's about socializing, doing things that interest you. Start doing things you like: working out, going to museums, or join some book club if you like to read. And you will make new, and RIGHT friends for you. And let your "drinking" buddies keep on killing themselves. I don't drink, but it doesn't stop me from enjoying my life, and even going to bars with my friends and drink water there. It all about the right company around you
Become the designated driver, you an hang out with your old friends and stay clean
I know how ya feel.
Biggest risk factor for relapse - loneliness
Congrats on your one year of being sober! That is a huge accomplishment! As for your "friends" they would have understood if they were your true friends. Shows that they were not. One day you will find friends that love that about you.
Good job! Keep up the good work! The social life will pick back up! Give it time!
I hear coke makes people the life of the party.

Just goes to show that those people weren't really your friends. There are so many other things in life to occupy your time..... You don't need a type of drug to have a good time.
Congrats on one year of being sober:)
