Today, I walked into work, and the first question my boss asks me is "Are those your pajamas?" I was wearing my favorite outfit. FML

YDI for thinking you can wear your pajamas to work just because they're your favorite outfit.

Look at the bright side, I'm sure they'd accept you for an episode of What Not to Wear!

someone needs a visit from Stacy and Clinton

YDI for obviously wearing something that was too casual for the workplace. I bet you're the kind of person who thinks leggings are the same thing as pants. I'd say you should take your boss's comment as a warning and step back and really evaluate your wardrobe in comparison to other co-workers. And don't get into any of that crap like, "I can dress however I want! Nobody can tell me what to do!" If you work in an office where a certain type of dress is required and if you want to eventually advance in that career path, your wardrobe needs to match the circumstances and your ambitions.

haha i hate it when people wear leggings as pants!!!! i think they make for the most unflattering things you could possibly wear... and no i dont care if they are comfortable, wear some jeans. i dont want to see your jiggly ass.

Hey # 35, step back you jackass. I wear leggings too! So pretty much your making fun of me too! So shut up she can wear whatever she wants okay?! My dad asks me if I'm wearing pajamas but I'm wearing basketball shorts. People have their own style and if her office was really serious she would have at least thought about gosh you douche bag!

I believe people like you are the reason #35 wrote that post... "if her office was really serious she would have at least thought about" Huh? Wearing your 'jammies to work is almost never acceptable, even if the place allows casual dress. Basketball shorts are really pushing it in terms of casual dress, btw (it depends a lot on where you work). Though I'm not sure what the OP's job's dress code is and what the OP actually wore, but if her outfit resembled pajamas and the boss commented on it, then chances are it's probably inappropriate. Just because you *can* dress however you want, doesn't mean you *should.* Bottom line: Have an individual fashion sense on your own time. Work =/= Free Time.

ohoho you fool! You just completely validated #35's comment!

"So pretty much your making fun of me too!" You hit the nail on the head. Guessing by your tone and language, I would say you are a high school student. At your age, it's still acceptable to wear a T-shirt and jeans (or in your case, the non-pants/leggings) to school and to dress in an overly casual manner. However, once you enter the real world beyond academia, I trust that one day even you will learn the value of a good suit and a nice button down. "People have their own style and if her office was really serious she would have at least thought about" People can have their own style, but when it borders on inappropriate for the workplace, then they need to step up their wardrobe. The company is not paying her to lounge around in her pajamas on their time. If they requested a specific dress code, the OP needs to meet it; she obviously isn't thinking about it if her boss made a comment to her. Also, it is possible to show personal style in an appropriate manner that other people can still respect. Dressing well doesn't mean that one's wardrobe is boring.

just asking did the pants happen to be plad (red and black) just asking because i have red and black(plad) skinny jeans tht everybody thinks there pajamas but they also say they r the most awsome pants ever

"I was wearing my favorite outfit," doesn't answer the question of, "Are those your pajamas?" Most retarded FML award?

I ******* hope so, that'd be like the death star of awesome
