Today, I was accepted to Harvard's law program. Prestigious right? After hearing the good news the only thing my parents talked about over dinner was who they wanted to win American Idol: Adam, Kris or Danny. FML

Today, I got my acceptance letter from Harvard University. Yay! Unfortunately, I sent it as a joke, never thinking I'd get accepted and I have absolutely no way to get there, or the money to pay for it. FML

Today, I received my acceptance letter to one of the most prestigious universities in the US, as well as a nice scholarship. I was so proud of myself, I eagerly showed my dad, hoping he would shed a tear or two. His only words were, "Just get a job so you can get the hell out of my house." FML

Today, I got a letter from Yale law school saying I got a 4 year full scholarship. I called my dad crying and read the whole thing... even the bottom, which said, "April fools! Love mom and dad." FML

Today, I excitedly told my mom how I got accepted to the master’s program of my dreams. She decided now would be a good time to proudly repeat for the millionth time how she gave up a full ride to the Ivy League to marry my father, and I ought to be a "good woman" and do the same. FML

Today, I was accepted to college and received a scholarship equal to almost half the tuition. After sharing this news with my parents, I spent the next 35 minutes getting yelled at about how I wasn't allowed to go there because my boyfriend might go there. FML

you got into HARVARD. so your life isn't effed up. congrats. so, about american idol, danny is gone.. and now it's between Kris and Adam. For me, its all Adam. Adam is the best out there. Probably one of the best singers I have heard in a while. Adam WILL WIN

"Prestigious, right?" I think you meant to say pretentious. It would have been (maybe) an FML, save that line. Most people (anyone who will appreciate the FML, at least) know that Harvard Law is prestigious. We don't need your commentary.

I fuggin hate American Idol, every day after its aired i have to listen to my math teacher talk about it for the first 50 minutes of our 56 minute class period, then assigns our homework when hes done.
