ha! #16 that's EXACTLY what getting into a good school means! All he has to do is PASS his classes, no 4.0 necessary and his future is made!! And while a harvard degree is not vital to success, it sure does help out a lot! And, his acceptance means he's better than the 90% of applicants who didn't get accepted, and when he graduates, he'll be better than half the american population who barely went to a technical school... yeah I'd say Ivy league students are better than a number of other people. To the extent that they're God-like? hell no! But to the extent that they're better off even on a small scale? of course.
mmmm.... I love the taste of pretentious douches in the morning. Part of a healthy breakfast Congrats btw. On getting into law school. It's a shame your parents don't love you
Kris all the way. Wait...what were you talking about? Oh, law school, right...congrats.
You JUST got accepted? The Ivies sent out their acceptance letters last month at the latest. Also, since Harvard is (unfortunately) considered the most prestigious university in the world, I highly doubt your parents did not care one bit about your acceptance. I mean, when I received my acceptance letter from Cornell, my entire family could not stop talking for about a week. Nice try.
Boo Hoo Hoo! Look at me! Pay attention to me!!!!! What about me???!!?!?!?!? Shut up you whiny bitch. You're going to Harvard for christ's sake. Man up. They aren't going to be there holding your hand then either.
firstly, congratz on gettin into one of the best universities ever. secondly....i do sort of agree with some people above. ofc getting into Harvard is exciting and all, and certainly pays off all the hard work you did....if your family kept going on and on and on and on about how proud they are of you for gettin into there, saying congratulations a million times, and telling friends and extended family over and over...wouldn`t you get sick of that ? just imagine it. if that happened, you`d probably be on this same site, going "my family won`t shut up about me getting into Harvard. they keep talking about it a million times or more. FML." now that would be ironic. as some said, your family probably expected it. take pride in that. not too much pride or your ego will rocket out the roof and into the sky. but other than perhaps a present or a congratulatory dinner....what else can they do ? don`t expect too much in life. not everything will be up to your expectations.
There's not much to say on the subject once you know you're in. I mean, they knew you applied, so it wasn't out of the realm of possibility, and they must have some idea that you're a good student or, more likely that you're legacy and rich.
Keywords
"prestigious, right?" kinda killed it.
at least you got into Harvard
