Today, I was at a party, and I sat down on a chair. While conversing with friends, I shifted places on the chair, and broke it. Embarrassed, I then stood up and change chairs. After moving to the next chair, I broke that one too. FML

Today, while at a family gathering, I sat down in a chair and it broke. Embarrassed, I picked myself up and sat down in another chair. That one broke too. I'm now the "fat girl" of the family despite weighing 90 pounds. FML

Today, during my lunch break, I sat on the manager's chair. As I sat down, I heard a snapping sound and I ended up on the floor. Everyone now calls me "the lumpy girl" who broke the manager's chair. FML

Today, I moved my dad's chair to look for my phone, but forgot to put it back. When my dad came back, he tried to sit down in the area where his chair usually is, but instead fell down on the floor, yelling, "YOU MOVED MY CHAIR!" FML

It's only FYL if the chairs were in bad condition to begin with. If it was your weight caused it, then you might need to make some lifestyle changes...

I hate cheap furniture, that happened to me too and people laughed at me so I looked at the chair and was like no wonder it broke who ever put it together stripped the screws and they weren't in right and the thing was cheap.. like they got it from big lots or something.

#19, I think you misunderstood what #11 said. #11 was saying that people shouldn't be complaining so much about the word "proceeded" and frankly I agree. I'm personally more annoyed by people complaining about "proceeded" than the usage of "proceeded".
