Today, I was at a window seat on a bus full of people when I saw a person lying motionless in a gutter. I jumped up, nearly hysterical, screaming for the driver to stop because there was a guy really hurt on the road. An emergency stop and huge commotion ensued. It turned out to be some garbage. FML

haha wow there are some a*holes out there. actually I have very good vision and i am not intellectually stupid thanks... i was in a moving bus and it wasnt a garbage CAN.... i dont think people come in that shape, but a big bag of garbage that had split and stuff had come out and around the bag.. yeah. maybe next time this happens it will be one of the a*holes that commented on this lying in the gutter and i will remain silent. HAHA!

how did that even happen? I agree with #12 and everyone else who mentioned the other FML. alluvasudden, all the garbage people are coming out of their bin-like hiding places, it seems. oh well, at least you cared, I guess. that was so stupid but it must have been SO embarrassing.

jesus christ guys, the OP was trying to be nice and was honestly concerned, good for them Give her the benefit of the good samaritan concept. it is kind of fishy though, maybe the mods are filtering these through? I mean it could be that they barely approved this one or something.

A pile of garbage bags can easily look like a Hobo in the road, especially if you're in a moving vehicle. Maybe the pile of trash even had clothes in it. Good on you for being a caring person, even if you were mistaken.

dont feel bad at least you had the courage to say something. because if it was a real person most folks would have just kept their mouth shut to avoid the potential embarrassment. kudos to you for trying to help, people like you make the world a better place.
