OK: I will give you credit. Normally, a girl taking off her shirt is always a good idea. However, I'm getting this feeling that you more-than-slightly resemble Jabba the Hut. If so, then that wasn't a good idea, and it will nauseate more than interest him. Also, taking off your shirt and smiling at him isn't going to be enough to get most guys to quit their work-out and come over and talk to you- ugly or hot! This is because he's in the middle of a workout, and he also doesn't know you... so he would look really stupid to quit his workout and attempt to talk to you, only to find out that you were smiling for no reason, and thought he was ugly. Get the idea? So if you want to flirt with a guy at the gym, you have to talk to him
Hahahaha ouch. Sucks to be you. Telling you to put it back on was kinda rude though.
While I DO think the OP sounds kind of arrogant, I DON'T think we need to immediately jump to the conclusion that the OP is female.
Good point 81. Either way, if you're a male and tried to impress the other guy (trying to impress is an automatic YDI btw) then why would you assume he's gay? If you're a woman, and were actually topless, whyyyy? You're in public. BUT, if you had a sports bra underneath, then he was rude UNLESS your really fat or wrinkly. I put YDI though, as you tried to impress.
that's meaan
Pics or it didn't happen.

It's true, trying to impress anyone is an instant YDI. However, he had no right to tell you to put your shirt back on. It's your shirt, I'm assuming you are either male or had a sports bra on underneath and were not breaking and public indecency rules, so he was entirely out of line. Next time, tell him no.
Maybe he was married and didn't want you to tempt him.
