Doesn't anyone read? OP said they use money orders. The money comes out of your bank account when you purchase the money order so no OP would not have had random money in their account. People who commented after OP need to learn to read the comments.

That stinks! Just as a tip, it is safer to send your mail from a post box (big metal box with the flap that opens for the mail to go into, either freestanding outside or wall-mounted indoors) so nobody can steal it (which can lead to identity theft in the case of real thieves, not senile grandmas). It is usually also faster.

Hell, I look JUST for the OP comments. They provide more interesting backstory. It's what prevented me for thumbing down this FML, because of points stated above. But money orders change that. It's important to take in all the facts before you judge.

ok you made money orders. but when next months bill arrived you shouldve known you were behind and dont tell you grandm threw them out because how else would you have paid them.

That sucks. Should have dropped them at the post office to make sure they were getting sent.

All these people commenting that it was your fault for mailing your bills instead of doing online banking, are actually driving me insane. Not everyone does EVERYTHING with technology. Stop being so ridiculous.
