If you balanced your check book and paid attention to your finances you would have known your payments weren't being cashed. You should still have all that money in your account to pay the bills. Talk with the creditors and you can probably get some or all the fees waived.

What the heck? "Oh I didn't get an electric bill this month, guess it's free!!" Really OP? Get a bill organizer, know when your bills are due, and sign up for online bill pay.

My grandma was throwing away my outgoing mail, I own rental properties and I pay with money orders so I'm always right on my bank account, a lot of my payments are the same every month I never gave it a thought to double check, cause it's like clockwork. Even had I written checks my statements come quarterly. I keep copies of my money orders thankfully. As for my grandma we didn't realize she was this bad...

I can understand not realizing you didn't receive your bills for one month, but you really should have realized it after three. Doing it online is cheaper anyway, no stamps to use.
