Today, I was bored and all alone while cleaning at work. This led me to start passionately doing a ballet dance in the empty corridor. I promptly stopped as I remembered the surveillance cameras. FML

Today, I was working as a security guard in a office building. It was 5 p.m. and most of the staff had gone home so it was pretty quiet. I did a little ballet dance around my security post. When I turned around, I saw my supervisor taking a video of me. He sent it to my boss. FML

Today, I was pretending to be a ballerina. I was dancing around my room, making a complete dick of myself. I eventually caught sight of a pair of guys grinning and filming me with their cellphones through my window. FML

Today, I was sat in front of my computer, waiting for a Zoom meeting with my coworkers to start. I started doing interpretive dance arm movements to the jazzy funky hold music. Turns out that the camera wasn’t off, and everyone was silently watching me. FML

Today, I went to the dentist; no one was in the waiting room so I danced around and mouthed songs that were on the radio. It wasn't till after I went to the counter and saw the receptionists laughing like a pack of hyenas that I realized there was a camera. FML

Don't feel bad Op. Ballet is beautiful and there's nowhere better to practice than in empty hallways. If you want to dance you're going to perform sometime. Just think that your beautiful performance just made some bored security guard's day! :-) Keep it up and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

Dance as if no one we watching, sing as if no one were listening, and live every day as if it were your last! One of my favorite quotes. Be free Op! Follow your dreams. I used to break into school at night and dance in the empty hallways. Only got caught once and the guards just let me keep having fun. Just ignore the cameras. Odds are no one cares if you have fun as long as the work gets done too. I encourage fun and free expression in my office. Strange how people are more likely to do their job well and willingly when they enjoy their time at work.

Is there even anyone actively watching them? If not, chances are, they'll never go over them again anyway, so who cares? And if there is, they probably just got a cheap laugh at your expense. You'll live.
