So...I'm guessing this means you made it?
This is a stupid story... It doesn't make any sense. Who gets "trapped in a bathroom" because they couldn't run AWAY from the thing scaring them???
What the hell where you guys just staring at eachother for an hour waiting for a move?
I am beyond terrified of scorpions! I know admitting this makes me seem ridiculous, but I would've peed a little!! @_@
If you had left it wouldn't have started shooting you or anything. You should have booked it and shut the door.
To those wondering, the air vent would not have been above OP directly, but blocking the path of escape, meaning that to run out would have meant going directly beneath it and risk it falling onto their head. FYL OP. The thought of that gives me shivers!!
Actually, I'm pretty sure it does in fact say that it was above her head. And whilst we can assume it was blocking her path somehow, you can't know that for certain. Plus I'm sure many people's instincts would be to run into a different room, regardless of where the scorpion really was - for most it's an instant reaction to a threat or fear, not a logical one.
I can empathize with this reaction... Were I OP, if it was dangling with a risk of falling, I'd be tempted to wait for it to fall to be more sure of my path of escape, or to be in a better position to hit it with something. So in that sense I understand OP's actions.
Huh, that's interesting...I thought humans evolved to have an instant 'fight or flight' reaction to threats but I guess some of us missed that and ended up with the deer-in-headlights 'stare at it till it attacks you' reaction...
Where the hell do you live to have scorpions dangling from the air vent???????
I read this while in the bathroom. I was scared shitless to look up.....

It's not like if it was gonna yell "get over here!" and spear you back to him if you tried to make a run for it.
At least you weren't taking a shit.... That would've REALLY sucked
