File a wrongful termination suit OP.
Why do you even have to work this far into your pregnancy? Over here you are at home 6 weeks before when you're due and 8 weeks afterwards. With normal pay. The laws in the US are so crazy and I feel so sorry for all the expecting mothers (and all the other women who are ****** by the laws).
She could have chosen to continue working. Unless she had a doctor tell her she had to be on bedrest, there's no reason she wouldn't choose to keep working until she's due. It's actually not uncommon for mothers to work up to their due date - or even until they give birth - and then just use all of their maternity leave after their child is born.
Hey y'all OP here. So I was actually early with my delivery. 2 weeks to the day. I have a beautiful set of twins now! One boy and one girl. Happy and healthy. I work for a supermarket. And my department manager was the one that called me not my human resource manager. My father also works for the company and explained everything to her. So my dept manager was suspended for wrongful termination and I have my job back with a raise that starts the day I go back. Thanks for all the support and helpful thoughts :)
That's absolutely amazing. Congrats, OP! Best wishes!
That's amazing! I'm glad to hear! It all worked out for the best. Congratulations on the twins!
you just got PAID. that's a huge lawsuit.
NJ FMLA protects your job 4 weeks before your due date, plus 6-8 weeks after delivery, under the disability policy - plus you get paid from the mandatory disability insurance. Then plus you get another 6 weeks bonding under family leave insurance. If your employer didn't tell you this, go to the state's website and apply for your benefits! Then report your employer for not posting it as required by law.

I smell a large lawsuit giving you enough cash to send your newborn to college! Congratulations on the baby!
Just tell her (to check her voicemail/missed calls) and everything should be fine. That or something happened to it, in which case you could still clear it up with a doctor's note or medical form to prove where you were.
