Today, I was cleaning my bathroom, and accidentally spilled bleach, ruining my shower curtain, rugs, and towels. While attempting to wipe up the bleach, I knocked over a bottle of shower cleaner. It read, "WARNING: DO NOT MIX WITH BLEACH." I still can't go in the house. FML

Op just go in, hold your breath and open some windows... People are to paranoid it's not going to kill you because you look at it funny and it's not going to go away because you pee your pants and hide outside...

Actually the gas released from the chemical reaction can kill you. OP should call 911 since it is an emergency situation.

Because the chemical that OP mixed with bleach is most likely to be ammonia, OP isn't overreacting. The reaction creates chloramine vapor, which can kill a human being. Any expert will tell you to do exactly what OP did, along with calling the fire department so that they can clean it up with a hazmat team.

That's why they make caps. Stop being so lazy and close them.

first thing u should do is open a window and turn on the exhaust fan in bathroom I'd u have one then leave the bathroom with the door closed.

Mmm, chlorine gas. In the positive side, you probably just got rid of any bugs or rodents.

Hey at least there wasn't cat litter in there. Call me dense, but why would anyone use bleach for cleaning purposes? Has Sodium Bicarbonate-vinegar mixes gone out of style? Or the cleaning formulas that are not known to interact horribly with various things?

that's crazy.. guess next time you will have someone clean for you
