Today, I was directing traffic at work during one of the hottest days of the year. Not only do I have to stand in the heat and exhaust fumes for minimum wage, I also had to endure people asking me "Aren't you hot?" as they drove past me in their air conditioned cars. FML

Well, you should've been like, I am SMOKING hot, thank you very much ;)

That really sucks, it was pretty hot today. Wear less clothes;)

Sorry about that, my iPod app shuts down on me a lot, and honestly I can't remember what I was going to say.

The only thing worse than that is having to stand outside a fast food restaurant dancing around in a mascot costume.

minimum wage? Shouldn't you be getting danger pay and working out in the sun pay? My ex does that atm and she is earning a tidy sum in Australia

A lot of people are earning a tidier sum for everything in Australia...

OP if its a city employee job you should be making more like 20+ dollars an hour not minimum wage.

When they ask just reply "Yes I am" and start stripping

Stand there naked. That'll get their mind off how hot or cold you are.

no, I'm freezing thanks for asking

I knew where OP lived the second I read this FML. I live in Ontario too and that day was hell.

It's hot in a lot of places. It's been over 100 here for like 58 days in a row now. Even at night, it's still 90 most of the time.

I think the hardest part was going from barely over twenty to almost hitting forty (before the humid ex) in like two weeks was what made it really hard.
