Today, I was directing traffic at work during one of the hottest days of the year. Not only do I have to stand in the heat and exhaust fumes for minimum wage, I also had to endure people asking me "Aren't you hot?" as they drove past me in their air conditioned cars. FML

You guys are idiots. i live in minnesota and the humidity here makes the temperature like 120. plus its a heat wave so its even worse. your complaining about texas and arizona and you guys dont even get half as much humidity and arent accustomed to usual cold temperatures we get up north. smh

boo-hoo, I have to do that in turnout gear at auto accidents... whiners...

If you live in the US, your employer is required to provide shade where you can take a break every two hours and 2 gallons of water for each employee on the job site per day. this is OSHA regulation. if they don't comply it's pretty damn easy to make them with a short call to OSHA.

you forgot to mention that it's 40 degrees Celsius plus humidity

Try living in coastal South Carolina (my previous residence) and southern Virginia (my current residence), where the heat and humidity is so bad that you literally get swamp ass from standing outside for 3 minutes. The heat is so bad here that the temperature was still 99 degrees fahrenheit at 11 pm last night.
