FML at its finest
I woulda ran it over ether u risk your life trying not to or you hit it
What is wrong with you? A while ago a woman swerved from a squirrel and killed herself and her 2 children in the car with her. How do you reason with that? Animals die all the time, it's a part of nature. Humans however have become accustomed to only dying due to disease or age, so it's much more heart wrenching for a human to die than an animal. You can move to avoid an animal on the road, as long as it doesn't endanger you or someone else. Say if you died or you killed someone else, that hurts an entire community, as well as family and the EMS workers who respond to your selfishness. Not to mention psychological distress witnesses may get.

If you come across an animal blocking your path on the road, then just run it over, that is what they tell you to do on your driving test. Unless it's a horse >.<
If you mistaken a bag for an animal, then you cannot have the attentiveness be a safe driver. No sympathy, and gtfo the road.
