Today, I was eating at Steak N' Shake. I noticed that the cute waitress was checking me out. When I was done with my meal she wrote her number on the ticket. So, as I was walking out the door, I turned around to wave at her, and walked into a metal bar next to the door. FML

Today, I went to a restaurant with some friends. I noticed a very cute waitress about my age, so I walked over to her and asked if she had a boyfriend. The extremely fit, attractive waiter standing next to her immediately turned, held out his hand and goes, "Yeah. Meet me." FML

Today, while working as a waitress, an attractive woman sat at one of my tables. When she paid, I decided to be bold and write my number and "Call me" on her receipt. She put in a complaint to my manager. FML

Today, I took my girlfriend out to eat at a diner where my friend works. My friend was our waiter but too busy to talk much. He texted me after we'd left to tell me that my girlfriend had slipped him her number. FML

That's embarrassing, but it's not that bad. I don't see why this is an FML, because if I were you I'd be totally psyched that she was interested. Nevermind the metal bar, she probably thought it was funny or cute? If I ran into something in front of the guy I like, after I found out he was definitely interested in me.. yeah, I'd be embarrassed for a few seconds, but then the excitement of him being into me would completely overcome the humiliation. I'd just laugh it off.

A few months ago I was working as a waitress for Steak N' Shake. I noticed a guy sitting at his table looking rather pathetic so I gave him a fake phone number thinking he would feel better. As he walked out he walked into a metal bar. Even when I try to do something nice it ends badly. FML.

#60 I agree. If someone did that with me I'd probably blush by the fact he was so entranced with me that he wasn't paying attention to anything other than waving goodbye to me, and if I were able to (as in, not on shift) go over to make sure he was ok. Further room for flirting!
