Today, I went out to lunch with a couple of work buddies. Trying to be suave, I started hitting on our waitress. Not two seconds after saying, "Hey baby," I felt ice water on my balls. The guy next to me had spilled both our water glasses. FML

Today, I was at the pool, casually flirting with one of the lifeguards. He said that he would gladly give me CPR, in the event that I needed it. I laughed and thanked him, stating that it was a sweet idea, even though I wouldn't be needing assistance. I then choked on my bottled water. FML

This is really sort of pathetic. I feel bad for you because it's so painfully "who cares" and yet you obviously cared a great deal, enough to give up on hitting on him and come here and post about it. A - who cares, he was drinking water B - that's a nice opportunity! Go up and hit on him, make fun of him for drinking water instead of liquor. Easy pick up line can be made around that. C - Buying drinks is an outdated/expensive way of hitting on people, it's more effective to hit on someone by not spending money on them, and instead being witty/sarcastic/interesting/show high value/etc.
