While the part of me who still thinks there's decency in this world would like to believe that it might have been coincidence that the phone next door rang at the same time with the exact same ringtone (since most of us seem to have rather snazzy ones these days, including specific ones for different contacts in our phones) as his girlfriend... I don't believe in coincidences. So, in my book... that does suck for you. :( And I definitely don't think you deserved it just for not immediately reacting by rushing over there and kicking someone's ass (or, for all I know, you did actually do this but just didn't include it in the FML story) because if this happened to me I'd definitely be in a state of shock for at least a good few hours... and then the "Imma kill a bitch" mode would set in, lol.
