I went to the store manager who said "what do you expect? You don't make 22 cakes a day." That level is for mass production I am put on specialty orders 90% of the time. He didn't care

you get what you pay for. time to look for another job. Hell I would have called them out on it. I would not have signed nor agreed to come back to work until I got a raise. They have to do what's right even if they have to lose talent over and over and over to do it. people need to complain more when they go into the bakery and receive bad or mediocre work. People need to stop buying crap and things will improve. sorry that sucks for you just go in and do the minimum you need to do until you get a job elsewhere.
Welcome to Walmart. This seems to be commonplace there.
Ah Walmart, I will never work Deli. Apparel for life though... -cries-
This is for #71 I work in a bakery that is small scale, no not at Walmart or any other grocery store but I decorate least 30-35 cakes a day plus 500 pieces of individual desserts. So yes a small bakery can and does make 21 or more cakes a day
Seriously don't even work at Walmart
I'm sort of in the same situation as you OP, Im the donut maker at a Dunkin. My new manager told me my donuts were excellent, and I asked for a raise, since most donut makers get up to $11 for the job, but I was told something along the lines of "Not experienced enough for a raise"
if you call in too many times (I think its 6 times in a year) they will automatically deny your raise. happened to me, same department, same eval. ( I swear I'm not making it up lol) I have 2 kids and a husband who has an autoimmune disorder, so I had to call in a lot to take care of him when he was sick. my manager praised my work, really really wanted to give me a raise but it wasn't possible because I had called in 12 times that year. good thing is, if you don't call in for 90 days they will re evaluate you and give you your raise! good luck OP!!
It sounds like OP glossed over some parts of their review. Sounds pretty typical of your average cake decorator imho. 30+ years in the business has taught me that most of them are self righteous divas who think you can't live without them. Something about this industry just attracts that personality type.
Oh yeah Wal-Mart loves to do that shit

Walmart does not treat their employees correctly. You should argue with your superior and demand an explanation why you were denied a raise what you did
Don't worry OP, Its just Walmart. You surely deserve something better, like a job at a specialty bakery
