Today, I was giving a presentation to my college class. I've had a natural stutter my whole life, so I stuttered through the whole thing. My professor tried to hold in her laughter for 15 minutes. FML

What a horrible person. She's a teacher and the class will follow her lead on how to behave and treat people, she should be above this. Also, by the time you're in college laughing at stuff like this should be behind you.

Sometimes it's just nervous... You are so scared to react badly... That you do just that... Sorry for you, though...

My 10th grade pre calculus tutor stuttered. He is a brilliant man and a mathematician. He has a bad stutter and when he taught and started to stutter, he's have to stop for a few seconds and continue. I never made fun of him though and Hated people who teased him relentlessly. They were so ******* cruel...ironic thing was the bullies (half were in the special ed classes cause they were so stupid and lazy) couldn't hardly read despite being in high school.

October 22nd is International Stuttering Awareness Day. ^_^

And it is on my birthday! WOW!

How cruel and unprofessional for your Professor to act that way! Sorry you had to endure that OP.

What a bitch. I actually think a stutter is cute.

I've never fully understood the aspects of stuttering, lisps and other speech impediments, but I have other issues that I'm embarrassed of that cause stage fright. I applaud OP for having the courage to get in front of everyone despite the problem. #5 had the most accurate comment, not only about the prof, but all the other asshats and twat waffles that have harassed you!

Hey OP, just wanted to say that I feel for you! I have a natural stutter too (along w/ social anxiety) so I get it. Sorry your prof. was a douche about it

i used to have a stutter and social anxiety as well, but when i got over my sa i lost the stutter as well. its a possibility your sa is causing the stutter and if you lose that you'll lose them both.
