Well at least both of you can go now. :) @4 actually, since I am partially Irish I would like to go. Plus, my grandmother has been and she thought it was beautiful. Plus, you can kiss the blarney stone. :D
I dunno if I'd wanna kiss the Blarney Stone...I read an article where it was named one of the germiest attractions because everybody kisses it lol. And that's not meant to insult Ireland in any way. Neither my boyfriend nor I are Irish but we'd both LOVE to go to Ireland, mostly because we've heard it is beautiful :) (Plus I love Frank McCourt, RIP)
I've heard locals piss on it.
What is this blarney stone business? The problem with being Irish is you're never a tourist here... I don't even know the story... 😂😂
Well....if the tickets overlap, now you can go with him!
Stay outta our country, ******* yankes enough over here.
do the research, a LOT of americans do come from Irish descent.
nooooooo, that doesn't make u irish, it makes u related to someone who came from ireland, big difference.
Still makes them American though, with Irish relations. My great grandfather came from England but that doesn't mean I'm English. I'm not trying to get bad at anybody or say your not Irish if you are, just personally I think theres a difference between being Irish and having a relative from there. And its annoying me that so many people are saying why would you wanna go to Ireland, if you haven't been here shut up and don't believe the stereotypes.
Actually, just one Irish grandparent can qualify you to become a citizen and get a passport.
So...they have irish blood, part of their famiy is irish..but because it's not full blood, that means they aren't? I call bullshit.
I get the feeling people think Im getting angry, :L. I dont mean to sound that way if I do, and Im in no way saying I dislike Americans. Jesus Im planing on moving there :L Warped tour for sho haha. Ireland is a nice place, if you get over the rain that is and the accents. I never noticed how strong they were till I saw Colin Farrell in a movie with non Irish people. Woah, Its some weird accent. :L You should defo come here, every one loves the Irish ;)
Nope if you are not from the state, you need to have at least 1 Irish parent and their full birth certificate. If you want to have an Irish passport and you don't have an Irish parent you need to move there and claim citizenship. If you were born in Ireland you can also get one obviously. I looked into it when deciding whether to get a British or Irish passport. Went for the British as this is where I was born and live, so I am British not Irish. But the option was there because of my Mum.
That means u r ethnically Irish but that DOES NOT make you Irish; and not even, maybe your dad can say he is ethnically Irish, u just have Irish ancestry. I hate when people call themselves something because some distant relative came from there... is like where people from Latin America say they are for example Mexican, meaning their grandfather was Mexican, BUT they do not speak proper Spanish and they have never even been there, THAT DOES NOT MAKE YOU MEXICAN!
That's really ****** up, does that mean you can't get citenship if you have no irish relatives no matter what?
Your pride in where you were born makes me sick. What exactly are you so proud of again? A patch of land on this planet that apparantly noone else is allowed to claim any type of connection to? You are just a human being like the rest of us, unlike the rest of us, you are a disgrace to humanity.
Being patriotic is not a problem. We all do it a bit. It's really positive. It gets you involved in running the country and being nice to others etc.
I don't think I am irish I do have a small bit of Irish in me but I am actually Scottish my dad is from there my mom is from America I have dual citizenship for both places. I have an obsession with Ireland though.
Americans are welcome as long as they behave. Don't punch our paintings or break our statues and stay as long as you like. Drink our beer pump your money into our economy. Why would we not want "yanks"? If we're going for who we have a lot of I'd say Spanish, Italian, Brazilian, Philopeno or Indian would win, but they're always welcome.
You can change the ticket to your name and go with....?
