At least you will have an interesting story to tell your kid! When stuff happens to me or I accidentally do something weird or rude I think of it as am opportunity for a story.

Oh wow, I'd say you were the winner there, OP. You have a wonderful new life on the way AND you got some dumb teens to buy you $9 worth of delicious shakes. Seriously, slim fast is awesome. I'd drink it even when I'm not looking to lose any weight-- you know, if it wasn't so damn expensive.

I don't see how being fat would make you pregnant, I think it'd actually reduce your chances.

*******. Little. Twatdroppings. That kind of behavior might be excusable in someone whose brain has been removed and the cavity filled with concrete. If such a procedure hasn't been performed on these kids yet, someone needs to get on it posthaste. I'm a recovering anorexic, and these kinds of incidents both break my heart and turn my blood into lava. Even if the OP actually WAS fat, what those kids did to her would be just as disgusting, if not even more so. One asinine "prank" like this can be all it takes to trigger self-endangering and suicidal behaviors in a person so disposed. Are these little **** cubs too socially defective to even realize how unfunny, unclever and hurtful their joke was, or were they playing some game where you get a bonus if your victim kills herself, whether intentionally or as a consequence of self harm? How unsurprising that, as other types of prejudice fade out of style, more and more people seem to be turning to sizeism and fat-shaming to support their tireless addiction to knocking others down. If you think fat people (or exceptionally thin people, whatever the case may be) have no right to so much as shop for groceries in public without being ostracized, it is YOU who need an intervention, for your health and everyone else's. Some fat people are perfectly healthy at their size, but I'm not convinced there's a bully alive who is emotionally sound.

What they did was immature, but if you're pregnant but look over weight, then you probably are over weight and should maybe consider a more healthy diet, for the sake of the baby at least.

This is why some people just shouldn't breed.

I'm tired of people using pregnancy as an excuse to be big. I am pregnant, and no one ever thinks I'm fat. The only thing big about me at all is my belly, which cannot be confused with anything other than a baby bump. If you're heavy in the first place it's hard for people to recognize the difference, sometimes. Perhaps the OP deserved it for being a chunk before conception. None of my pregnant friends have ever been confused for fat either. Just sayin'.

"...until I got back to my cart..." Pet peeve of mine: Women who leave their carts and walk all over the store. Bring it with you wherever you go. That will avoid this problem.

First off everyones bodies are different, my mother was practically starivng her self when she was pregnant an she got fat but one of my friends almost ate me out of house and home yet she didn't gain a pound. So that's no reason to assume someone is "blaming their fatness on pregnancy".

It could be worse, you could actually be fat!
