Today, I was handing candy to a little boy who was trick or treating by himself. He was small enough to grab the candy and run past me into my house. I've been searching my house for two hours and still can't find him. I'm afraid to go to sleep. FML

I would call the police. Just because you could get in trouble if the parents do and they find the missing kid in your house.

It's Weeman. Don't worry, he's usually a cool, funny guy...

Okay, guys, let's get a few things straight. You guys are bitching, "You've had a missing child in your home and you're on FML??? WTF???" Do you not notice the date on this FML? 11/01/12. You really don't find it strange that a kid is trick or treating the day AFTER Halloween? This happened YESTERDAY. All FMLs start with "Today." The situation is probably already resolved and OP just wrote the FML that way because it either took him two hours to find the child or call the cops. Also, a person has to be missing for 24 hours before a missing person report can be filed. There is no missing person report on a kid who's been missing for just two hours. Since he was out trick or treating by himself the parents may not even be concerned that he's not back yet. Trick or treating tends to take a few hours.

"You've had a missing child in your home *for two hours* and you're on FML???" Sorry, folks. Forgot to type that part, apparently.

I was misinformed. Relax. That's the only thing that's wrong about my comment, though. People are assuming the kid is still in OP's home when it's obvious this is something that happened yesterday.

Also, I did some research on this, and when it's a missing child reported immediately, it's not a missing person report. It's an "amber alert."

You aren't accounting for differences in time zones. According to my computer, the FML was written on 10/31/2012 at 10:04pm, which would be 10/31/2012 at 11:04pm in New York where it was written. So, OP did write the FML the day it happened, and at a time that he or she was probably considering going to sleep even though there may have been a strange child hiding somewhere in the house.

I'm in the same time zone as New York. -.-

I'm annoyed with the "you're on here instead of........" comments. The OP probably did whatever before posting the FML.

I write a FML days after it happened, but still put "Today" as it is the rule.

FYI sometimes websites servers are in different time ones from the poster. So a post at 10pm on the west coast could have a 1am timestamp.

You're also forgetting how long FML's take to process. Stop acting like you know everything.

How big is your house that you have been looking for 2 hrs?? You should of called the police 1 hr and 55 min ago! Not on fml. Let me guess you prob posted on Facebook or tweeter too

It is actually a Midget Ninja... You will wake up in the morning, with all your valuables gone. Damn Ninjas!!!

Hahahaha xD lol he probably ran out though. :b
