Sarcasm is the greatest form of the truth, it's easy for people to get offended and butthurt about what they feel is important. Sad people can't respect each other even in a satirical environment.

Entertaining an idea at the least, even if you don't necessarily agree, is the mark of an educated mind. Bottom line is if you're not willing to have your political beliefs poked fun at without getting butt-hurt, don't put yourself in that situation. People need to stop being so uptight.
