Today, I was helping some mental health patients at work, I spent 20 mins to fail to connect the DVD player to the TV and went back to make them something to eat. I came back into the room after 5 mins and one of the patients had connected it for himself. He has a profound learning disability. FML

Your giving them way too little credit. They are humans like you and me after all.

Apparently you have a more profound learning disability.

Also, OP: it's widely accepted nowadays that Albert Einstein had a learning disability. As well as: Beethoven, Winston Churchill, Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, George Washington, Nelson Rockefeller, and many, many other great minds. So, once again: screw you completely for assuming a learning disability makes you stupid.

as #39 said, a lot of times people with mental or learning disabilities are very good with electronics or building things with their hands. better than the average person. if you work with them you should know that... but obviously you don't. YDI

just because the guy had a learning disability doesn't mean he can't do things.

I'd actually be assuming here that it really was a *severe* mental disability, not something like, say, Autism. Because I like to assume the best about people, including the OP

Here's a story I heard a long time ago. A man has a flat tire outside a mental hospital and when he is changing it, he upsets the hubcap with the lugnuts in it and they roll away down a sewer grate. He is deeply upset. A patient comes to the fence and tells him to take one lugnut off each wheel and attatch the spare with just one missing and drive to the auto parts store. The man thanks him and says. "That's a great idea, hey, what are you in there for?" The man says. "I'm crazy, not stupid."

the cord has 3 plugs a yellow one, a red one, and a white one. The tv has three holes a yellow one, a red one, and a white one....seriously how hard is that to understand

# 98 has it. FYL for thinking you are something better than the disabled.

That's immensely sad... especially since those come with INSTRUCTION MANUALS.
