Surely, your sister was playing a real sport that people care about in PE. No wonder she got all of the attention! Maybe the newspaper will cover your outstanding accomplishments in chores. It’d make a heartstrings-tugging story that you scrubbed toilets brilliantly in your injured sister’s stead!
Chin up lad. Best to keep a stiff upper lip during such trying times. Football’s a good sport to be in, but if you’re planning to go pro, a sprained ankle and lack of home recognition wouldn’t be your worst issue to deal with. At least your local paper recognises it. That’s more than what others can say.
That sucks but thin of it this way: Those accomplishments are yours and you can (probably) be proud of yourself. You don't need other people's confirmation to be proud of yourself. And maybe they'll still read it later. Show it to them once the current situation calmed down.
Miss Drama Queen... I understand you were in the paper but your sibling is injured. Help her out and worry about your fifteen minutes of fame later.
