Today, I was leaving work when some creeper start following me. When he asked me for my name, I immediately gave him a fake one. He just laughed and said “I hope to see you soon.” He used my real name. First AND last. I was still wearing my name tag. FML

lol first of all i work at a WAMU where our name tags give our full name so no lies there. secondly, this guy was twice my age. i was not being bitchy at all. he said hi and then i smiled and said hi back. it's one thing when you greet someone. it's another when you keep following them asking personal questions. i didn't give a fake name on purpose. it was just a natural reaction. lol but yea i guess it wasn't smart to walk out with my name tag still on. o and btw not to be rude but i took AP english so i'm pretty sure i know how to use “proceeded” in a sentence correctly. it's not my fault if other ppl don't or overuse it.

Following her isn't creepy? Pretty sure it is. Some guys act like girls owe them a chance, but we don't owe anyone anything, and we're not "close-minded bitches" for not wanting to share our personal information when we don't feel comfortable.

Oh wow that is really scary. #113, um, no, didnt you learn not to talk to strangers? and this person was following her, and didnt show that he wanted conversation. And havent you seen Taken? The world isnt such a beautiful place. There is such thing as creeps.

Indeed there are creeps but he stopped after realizing that she lied to him he didnt continue to follow her around. If he did thats a FML but "Omg someone hit on me and I wasnt interested so he's a creeper" is not. -.-

Wow. Okay people, I realize that there are creeps and freaks out there, but not every stranger is one. Just like when my roommate called me and two other guys stupid for walking around downtown for well over an hour at night, because she said she'd heard of people getting curb stomped downtown once. While it has happened in the past, it's not a regular occurrence. The ratio of people not getting curb stomped to people getting curb stomped is incredibly high. So when you're walking around with your knives, tasers, and pepper sprays, remember that the most likely scenario is that nothing is gonna happen. Look up prior probability, base rate neglect, representativeness heuristic, fundamental attribution error, etc. You'll then realize that the odds of something bad actually happening to you are overwhelmingly low.

And 39 is an idiot on two accounts. It's not a bad thing to try to meet people and you can put whatever the **** you want on a name tag why would it just have to be your first name?

I don't get why people say YDI, that's totally something I'd do so people I dislike can't follow me around or anything. Especially with Facebook and how they use your real name. If you've got a fb profile, I suggest you make it private.
