I would have responded by saying "Chill out dude! She fell. I guess you don't care as much to help someone who fell and could possibly get hurt. That is the last time I try to help someone."
It's a sad world we live in when you can't help strangers that are in dire straits without getting accused of being a rapist/kidnapper/thief/murderer/attacker... Pretty soon people are just going to stop helping others out for fear of the potential negative repercussions.
It is sad, but I think this has a lot to do with how many abduction cases have been in the news over here lately, we've got the April Jones trial going on and the 6th anniversary of Madeleine McCann's disappearance, it's bound to start having an effect on people who were normally quite calm
Sadly, that's what happened in China a while ago. Heard of the incident about the toddler who was ran over twice? First time was an accident, the second time to not pay the fees if she survived :( No one reacted of all the people walking pass her, because apparently, there was a case of a guy driving an injured stranger to the hospital and got sued for his injuries; the asshole won.
Why tf did you start crying
Yes it's sad that it has come to this nowadays. That reminds me of a story with much more tragic consequences that happened in my country. A 3 year old had run away from her mother and police started searching for her. Poor thing eventually fell in the river and drowned before they found her. It came out later that a man had seen the child walking alone but for fear of being accused of being a kidnapper / pedophile, he chose not to interfere.
Now that's some real neighborhood watch!
I don't blame him. Three girls were just liberated in Ohio from a sex dungeon. I would be worried too

Awkward situation, but at least both of you only wanted to help the girl! Kudos to both!
I love it when the OP's name is something snarky like that.
