Today, I was out on a family walk, when I overheard two women talking to each other. One of them was wondering how a kid with such good looking parents and grandparents could be so ugly. That kid is my daughter. FML

Hi OP here, a little extra detail. My little girl (7 years old) is having her "bad haircut faze" she is self conscious about it and it didn't help that she overheard this obnoxious woman! I had to spend hours building back up her confidence. It was truly a horrible thing to do. Sorry it doesn't show up as mine as I posted it from my phone and then made an account!

Its simple. You shun the daughter out of your family. She will go on an extraordinary self journey find a new home leave it then find some new parents. She will then grow into a beautiful woman. At least I think that's how the story goes right?

Lots of beautiful adults were ugly children. So if your daughter is truly ugly (I'm not sure I would believe what was said about her anyway) don't give up hope. She may grow into a real beauty.

Yep. I knew this girl who looked like that big dude in the "Goonies", with misshapen head and eyes that didn't seem level or symetric. Today (10 years later) she is absolutely gorgeous.

That drives me nuts. I don't know.why people feel the need to attack a little kid? Someone did the same thing to my friend cause her 2 year old has a gap, and it looks dumb. Don't worry about it, I am sure they are horrible people anyways.

I rather the kid be an ugly duckling now then turn into a beautiful swan when she becomes older, rather than beautiful now then turning ugly in the future. Ignore those horrible spiteful comments from them gossip and continue to love your daughter

that's a really good way of looking at it. in my own personal experience, the 'pretty' people at school all have horrible personalities because they've been told they're special from the start, whereas those of us who weren't so attractive have developed nicer personalities so when they grow into their looks they end up more attractive than those from school

Every person has an awkward stage in their life. Some kids are cute and turn I to awkward teens, then morph into attractive adults. Some kids aren't cute and become beautiful teens and adults.
