She was right however she obviously doesn't follow the bible... Don't judge lol
"Militant Atheist Godless Grandmother forces Nativity play to be cancelled while making the children cry. When will the communist fascists stop persecuting Christians in their War on Christmas? We have Santa Claus live for an interview..." -FOX News PS: I love your name, OP.
Unless my sources are mistaken, I've read that Christmas was instituted to replace the Pagan holiday that was celebrated around the same time of year..
Crazy bitch
Literally the opposite of pagans
That depends on how you look at it. Many Christmas traditions are actually taken from Pagan practices, as is the fact that it's celebrated around the Winter Solstice. The celebration of the birth of Christ is, obviously, not Pagan, but most of the holiday themes and decorations are. What confuses me is that even if the grandmother thinks the holiday itself is a "Pagan abomination", why would she say that about a *nativity* play?
It isnt on the christmas solstice because its a pagan holiday. Its on the solatice because christians moved it from being originally in summer to that day to replace the solstice to get rid of pagans holidays.
This sounds like "A Charlie Brown Christmas" gone horribly bad.
Sounds like my mom.

Don't you ******* hate those religious freaks? I sure do. It's ok to have a religion and be proud of it but you shouldn't go around shoving it down people's throats. -___-
Well technically she's right. How do you think early Christians got all those converts? Io Saturnalia, everyone!
