Obviously you have no clue what you're talking about. You DO continue CPR if their internal defib is going off. The purpose of CPR is to keep blood circulating. A defin resets the electrical activity of the heart. You need both to live. Not all dead people need a defib. B they only work on 2 rhythms. V-tach and V-fib. If they are a systole (flatline) a defib is of no use.
I love seeing all the "doctors" on this thread. Just because you watched House or ER doesn't mean you know how to do CPR or what an Implanted pacer does. Come ride with us medics who do this for a living.

I actually know who the OP is and worked at the same ambulance company. Given the way the rigs are set up, it would be very easy for him to get hit if he was on the side, jump seat or bench.
but you're not supposed to give someone cpr when they have a defibrillator

AICD's have been around for a long time. they work the same as the pads, sending massive wattage across your heart and will cause a convulsion in the limbs. go google it ffs.
