im surprised no ones mentioned this but OP deserves it, because the kindergarteners were probably more enraged about having to go fetch the ball halfway across campus. i hated having to go fetch the ball during kickball games haha

Oh, the poor little hamster! Seriously, look before you kick. Didn't you at least look down to see where the ball was in relation to your feet? I don't even understand how you couldn't have noticed, at the very least, that the ball was a little "different", which would be a cause for a moment of observation.
