Today, I was picking my daughter up at day care. She was outside playing kick ball. A red ball rolls over to me, and trying to impress the kids, I kicked it over the slide. I turn around to see three crying six year olds. It was their hamster ball. FML

funny! and you people should stop. yes they look differnt, but if he wasn't paying really close attention to it, it looks like a red ball. so he kicked it. it was an accident. its not like he picked it up and felt that it was plastic and took a really long look at it. people relax

YDI. A quick glance and you wouldve seen that something inside was moving while the ball was still. The ball couldnt have been opaque, thats not safe for hamsters. Besides, what do you care about impressing a bunch of little kids?

No! Those balls are very, very bad for them. A guinea pig's spine is not nearly as flexible as that of many other rodents. While a ball or a little spinny-wheel-thing are fine for a rat, they can cause some *serious* damage to a piggy. Even picking up a piggy wrong can hurt their little backs, because they are quite fragile as rodents go (despite the fact that their bulk can lead you to believe otherwise, heh). I'm assuming that you might be asking since you were thinking about getting a ball for your guinea pig so from one piggy owner to another, I beg you - don't put piggy in a ball!

The hell? How could you not know it was a hamster ball? They're made of clear plastic and have slits so the animal can see and breathe. You clearly looked at it before you punted the poor thing over the slide, how the **** could you mistake that for a rubber kickball?
