This is more of a MLIA.
If the guy turned around to celebrate, how did the ball hit his face? Unless of course he has a face on the back of his head...
That's what I was thinking!
haha! lmao. FYL. xD
Obviously the OP is not a real tennis player. He doesn't use the right terminology. He should have said that his friend hit a lob and he hit an overhead (or smash). The only way this could be feasible is if he hit the ball nearly straight down and gave it a high bounce, in which case his friend would have time to return it and he should have held off on the celebration. YDI for not putting away an easy overhead.
tennis is a game for posh people. play 10 minutes, sit down 10 minutes. Rain? they don't play, their hair could get wet. YDI
I've played tennis for about three hours straight. No breaks. Stfu you idiot. And the only reason we can't play in the rain is because the balls soak up the water and get ruined. @OP: You're stupid, returning an overhead is one of the easiest shots. Unless you hit it further towards the baseline and they were playing volley, but even then it's not so hard. And I've played matches where the person turned around before the point was over, they got hit. My point. Their fault. UNLESS they got hit before even moving, then it's theirs, but I still think that rule is ridiculous since they should have seen it coming. Regardless, in this situation: early celebration = you deserved it.
If you think tennis is a "posh" sport, then you've obviously never played it. Sprinting around after a fast-flying ball trying to hit it just right to the other side and sweating profusely? Yeah, that's REAL posh.... Thanks #24, you're right! OP-Don't celebrate until the play is over! That goes for ALL sports! Soooo YDI for celebrating prematurely.
"Two break points, Djokovic."
so he managed to arc the ball around the back of your head and hit you in the face? because walking away implies your back was to him. also getting a tennis ball smashed into your face might break something.
how is this a FML this is one of those things you just laugh about for a minute, and then get back to the game. YDI. p.s. please, can someone get the creators of this site to make a "not a fml " option, besides the YDI and FYL options next to the OP's FML??????? im getting sick of having to click YDI when quite frankly, the OP only deserves 'not a fml'
