Today, I was prescribed anti-anxiety medication due to the high level of stress that I experience at my job. Unfortunately, I cannot afford the medication because I do not make enough money at said job. FML

cut back on things that aren't as important If it's that important sorry to hear anyway Op

find a new job , quit your current one, do something like therapy or yoga and learn to control your stress. fyl for letting the situation get out of hand, learn your limits a job is a job they come and they go if your willing to get sick and/or die because of one your a complete and utter cockroach.

177- when I was in college, I took 16 credit a term (full time is 12), worked, volunteered 4-8 hours a week at a shelter for abused women and children and volunteered 24 hours a week as an on-call hospital advocate for sexual assault victims. And I didn't have health insurance. But clearly, it's because I was so lazy.

I never said you were lazy, but America is a land of opportunity, and if you put volunteer work above making money then that's wonderful but we can't make exceptions, sometimes doing a nice thing takes a personal tole. I grew up in a family that made 10,000 dollars a year, now I am the president of a company, worked very hard to get to that point, don't I deserve to reap all the rewards of my hardwork?

19- dumb idea, doctors red flag ppl that do that. then you're SOL when you really do need the meds

well because of all that I did at that time, I now have a great job, with great health insurance. I don't make a ton of money, but I get to help people, and do something that I love. but what If during that time I had gotten so sick and overrun with medical bills that I had to drop out of school? would I not deserve all the happiness I have now just because I got ill or injured? and if your family only made $10,000 a year, then that should have qualified you for free health care in most states. lucky you. must have been nice to go from so poor that you got it for free, to so rich that you can afford it, no problem.
